Responsibilities
Provide patient-centered care for adult and occasional pediatric patients in a general Med/Surg unit
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
Manage a variety of cases including medical, surgical, outpatient, and swing bed patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor
Ensure holistic care addressing physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual needs
Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate care effectively
Work night shifts including every other weekend as per scheduling requirements
Adhere to hospital policies, patient safety standards, and quality care guidelines

Requirements

Experience
Minimum 3 years of acute care experience required
Experience in Med/Surg setting
Experience with Meditech charting preferred
Must be comfortable treating both adult and occasional pediatric patients (no pediatric-only candidates)

Licenses/Certifications
Active Vermont RN License or Compact License
BLS Certification (AHA)
ACLS Certification
Flu vaccination required (no exceptions)

Education
Associate Degree in Nursing or higher
