Job Opportunity: Physical Therapy Assistant Licensed
Job Title
Physical Therapy Assistant Licensed
Job Description
- Work under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Carry out treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist according to physician’s orders.
- Provide supervised treatments such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hot/cold packs.
- Assist patients with transfers, exercises, walking, etc.
- Provide input to the Physical Therapist regarding treatment effectiveness and necessary adjustments.
- Document patient progress; documentation must be co-signed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Administer motorized traction to relieve neck and back pain.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Contract Length
- Approximately 13 weeks (89 days ≈ 13 weeks)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Oklahoma.
- Physical Therapist experience within the last year.
- Physical Therapy Assistant experience.
- Completion of a two-year college program specifically designed for Physical Therapist Assistants.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of physical therapy principles, methods, techniques, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to adjust equipment to meet patient needs.
- Strong communication skills to guide patients in their treatment and development.
- Ability to prioritize work effectively.
- Basic computer knowledge.
