Job Description

• Work under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Carry out treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist according to physician’s orders.
• Provide supervised treatments such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hot/cold packs.
• Assist patients with transfers, exercises, walking, etc.
• Provide input to the Physical Therapist regarding treatment effectiveness and necessary adjustments.
• Document patient progress; documentation must be co-signed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Administer motorized traction to relieve neck and back pain.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks (89 days ≈ 13 weeks)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Oklahoma.
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year.
• Physical Therapy Assistant experience.
• Completion of a two-year college program specifically designed for Physical Therapist Assistants.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of physical therapy principles, methods, techniques, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to adjust equipment to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills to guide patients in their treatment and development.
• Ability to prioritize work effectively.
• Basic computer knowledge.
