Usually 8 hours/day for a 40 hour work week, but the shift time can be variable depending up on staff and patient needs
- About Facility:
- Psychiatric Hospital providing inpatient and outpatient care
- 100 licensed inpatient beds – 50 designated for pediatric patients, which is the patient population our OTs work with
- OT team provides evaluations, individual treatment and therapeutic groups to pediatric patients.
- Unit Information:
- Inpatient “tween” unit, which has about 12 patients on it every day. Cross coverage to adolescent and littles necessary, but primary unit would be tween age group.
- Minimum years’ experience – 2 years with peds in any setting
- First time traveler would be fine; a couple years of experience with pediatric patients and sensory integration preferred. Preferred experience with therapeutic milieu and running groups necessary, as well.
- Patient Ratios:
- Responsible for the occupational therapy services of 1 unit, with approximately 12 patients on it every day. 90% will have evals and individual treatments
- Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
- National Certification – OTR certification from NBCOT
- Maine Occupational Therapy License
- BLS
