Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Job Details

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12's, 7 PM - 7:30 AM (36 hours per week)
Floating Requirement: Traveler will be required to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed.

Qualifications

Experience Required:
- 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
Skills Required:
- IV start
- L&D experience
- Epic experience
Preferred: Previous travel experience

Additional Information

Certifications and Competencies

ACLS, BLS, PALS: Required for specific units; travelers can renew at the facility.
NIH Stroke Certification: Required for ER and all Critical Care RNs.
Dysrhythmia/EKG Exam: Required within 1 year of start for all RNs.
Competency Exams: Unit-specific competency exams required.

Health Documents

Physical Exam: Required within a year of start.
Vaccinations:
- Tdap
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray
- MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (titer or 3-vaccine series)
- Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 3 months of start.

Background Check

Criminal Background Check: 7-year check required within 1 year of start.
Fingerprinting: Required for all candidates.

References

Professional References: 2 required, including at least 1 from a manager or director.
