Description:

The Ultrasound Technologist – MFM Clinic performs routine and advanced OB/GYN sonographic imaging procedures on both ambulatory and hospitalized patients within a physician office or clinic setting.

Working under the supervision of a Radiologist and MFM Specialist Physician, this role focuses on evaluating pregnancy conditions, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging, and providing compassionate patient care.

The technologist must be able to clearly explain procedures, ensure patient comfort, and produce accurate imaging results for clinical interpretation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex OB/GYN ultrasound procedures specific to Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images following established protocols
• Assist physicians in diagnosis of pregnancy-related conditions
• Ensure patient comfort by explaining procedures and maintaining a calm environment
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and quality standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams
• Support continuous improvement and clinical excellence initiatives

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program

Experience

• Less than 1 year of experience accepted (new grads welcome)

Certifications / Licensure

One of the following required:

• ARDMS (OB/GYN or Abdomen – RDMS-OB / RDMS-AB)
• ARRT (Sonography – ARRT-S)

Additional Requirements:

• Fetal Echocardiography (FE) or Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification within 1 year of hire
