Description
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Position Overview
Performs in vivo nuclear medicine procedures using tagged radionuclides. Doses patients with radiopharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals as prescribed by the physicians orders, and under the supervision of a Radiologist. Completes quality control and quality assurance procedures as required by the hospital and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) license. Ensures complete and accurate data entry in the Hospital Information System and Picture Archival and Communication System.
Education and Experience
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified NMTCB or ARRT(N)
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the ARRT or CNMT certified through NMTCB
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Preferred Qualifications
- AA or BS degree in nuclear medicine from an accredited college or university
- Advance Registration in PET is a plus
