Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

Location: Snellville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Cath Lab unit caring for adult to geriatric patients. First-time travelers are accepted.

Patient Population

Adults to Geriatrics

Required Experience

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in specialty

Certifications Required

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Clinical Skills & Work Setting Requirements

Circulate procedures
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Procedural sedation administration and monitoring

Workload & Schedule

Ratio: 3 rooms with 5 beds each
Average daily census: 8-10 patients
Weekends: Every third weekend
Call: 10 call days per month
Floating: Yes, within facility and possibly to a sister campus
Holidays: Expected to work major holidays during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
Return to Orientation (RTO): Maximum 7 days

Orientation & Compliance

Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length
Full compliance required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
Clinical screening required to determine clinical fit

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse license in Georgia
Cardiac Cath Lab experience of at least 1 year within the last year
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Procedural sedation administration and monitoring

Additional Notes

Floating may include working at a sister campus within scope of practice
Scrub color provided by the facility
Candidate must review and sign facility policies on code of conduct and professional appearance prior to start

Prior Travel Experience
