Job Description: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a background in Long Term Care (LTC) to join a skilled nursing environment in Hawaii. Candidates must hold an active Hawaii LPN license by the start of the assignment.

Requirements

• Active Hawaii LPN license (required prior to start).
• BLS/BCLS certification (current and valid).
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience, preferably in Long Term Care.
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required before contract start.
• Must be available to attend employee health clearance one day prior to assignment start.
• Holiday coverage may be required.

Responsibilities

The LPN will provide patient-centered care in a long-term care setting, including but not limited to:

• Medication administration
• Skin treatments and assessments
• Wound VAC care
• Nebulized treatments
• CPAP care
• Gastrostomy tube care
• Assistance with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
• Monitoring and documenting patient conditions

Shift Information

Varied 8-hour shifts, including:

• Days: 07:30 – 15:30
• Evenings: 15:00 – 23:30
• Nights: 23:00 – 07:30

Includes weekends and holidays.
No guaranteed hours or shift preference.
OT rotation may be required.

Additional Details

• Arrival is required the Thursday before start to complete employee health clearance on Friday.
• Bilingual not required.
