Description: 50 mile radius rule 

CVICU # Beds 18- Mixed acuity with Step Down and ICU status patients 

Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:1 fresh hearts & devices, 1:2 ICU status patients, 1:3 step down status patients Required Certifications BLS, ACLS 

Shifts & Scheduling Self- scheduling and block scheduling requests allowed and often granted, but during schedule balance period, requests can be changed to fill the needs of the unit. 

Weekend Requirements Every other weekend 

Holiday Requirements As needed to fill the needs of the unit

Call or standby: No 

Floating Requirements Travelers float first. Float mainly to ACU and ICU but can be floated to Med-Surg & Tele with max of 6 patients. 

Must be able to titrate drips
