Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a travel contract assignment in Shelby, Montana. This opportunity is based in a critical access hospital where nurses play a vital, hands-on role across both ER and Med-Surg settings. Assignment Details:
13-week travel contract
12-hour night shifts (36 hours/week)
Shift times: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Start date: Late April 2026
May require occasional day shifts
Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Facility Overview:
Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
8 total beds (3 ER, 5 Med-Surg)
2 RNs per shift with CNA/HUC support
Upbeat, team-oriented environment where everyone helps each other

Patient Population:
PNA/COPD, general weakness, electrolyte imbalance
Cardiac rule-outs, UTI, diabetes

Responsibilities:
Provide care across ER and Med-Surg patients
Perform triage, physical assessments, and medication administration
IV placement, wound care, splints/casting assistance
Assist with chest tube setup
Complete ER registration during overnight hours (Meditech)

Requirements:
Active RN license
BLS and ACLS required
Minimum 2 years of experience (ER background preferred)
First-time travelers welcome
Preferred certifications: PALS, TNCC, NRP, CPI/MOAB

IV Pumps: Baxter Sigma Spectrum
Medication Dispensing: Pyxis
