Requirements

• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • Skilled home care experience required
  • OASIS training and experience required
  • Private duty nursing experience alone will not be accepted
• Certifications:
  • BCLS required
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
  • Flu Vaccine: Unknown (must have flu shot or declination; mask required if applicable)
• Licensure & Other Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Personal vehicle required for home visits
• Clinical Skills:
  • IV therapy skills
  • Wound care (including wound vac)
  • Experience with general medical diagnoses
  • High-risk diagnoses experience required:
    • Heart Failure (HF)
    • COPD
    • Myocardial Infarction (MI)
    • Pneumonia
    • Stroke
  • Post-operative care
• Patient Care Skills:
  • Cardiopulmonary assessment
  • ABI compression dressing
  • Pleurx/Asept drain care
  • Foley catheter insertion, change, and care
  • Staple/suture removal
  • Glucometer use
  • Pro-time machine use
  • SQ/IM injections
  • Lab draws and venipuncture
  • PICC line or Midline care and dressing changes
  • SQ port access/de-access

Work Schedule & Productivity

• Visits: 6–8 home visits per day
• Shift Options:
  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Thursday–Monday or Friday–Tuesday shifts
  • Alternating weekend shifts required
• Schedule and visits are self-managed based on HomeCare office needs

Work Environment & Tools

• Skilled Home Care setting (Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Commercial insurance)
• Equipment provided: Laptop, MiFi (internet access), portable printer
• Documentation systems: BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, Ace Timesheet
