Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown (Nights)

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Work schedule includes night shifts in a Stepdown/Progressive Care unit.
• Patient ratio approximately 1:4-5.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.
• Orientation sessions available on scheduled dates throughout the year.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license at time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of Stepdown/Progressive Care nursing experience.
• Work history must demonstrate at least 24 months of current Stepdown/Progressive Care experience.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Skills checklist specific to Stepdown/Progressive Care discipline.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or American Red Cross.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification from AHA or American Red Cross.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months are preferred.
• First-time travel nurses are accepted (prior travel experience not required).

Additional Information

• Typical workweek: 36-40 hours; overtime may be available.
• Night shift hours and holiday pay multipliers apply.
• Local candidates within 50 miles are considered.
