Requirements
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Patient Population:
- Adults to Geriatrics
- Certifications:
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- NIH required
- Flu Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
- Clinical Skills & Work Setting:
- Telemetry experience with diagnoses including:
- CHF
- MI/Chest Pain (pre- and post-cath)
- Dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants)
- Hypotension/Hypertension
- Pleural effusion
- Sepsis
- PE/DVT and other vascular conditions
- Telemetry experience with diagnoses including:
Unit & Facility Details
- Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
- Unit Size: 16 rooms
- Systems:
- Epic (required)
- Pyxis
- SBAR
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Scheduling & Work Requirements
- RTO: Maximum 7 days
- RTO Blackout Dates: April 4th – April 12th (Spring Break)
- Weekends: Every other weekend (unless otherwise specified)
- Floating: Yes, within facility and scope as needed
- Call Requirements: None
Holiday Requirements
- If 1 major holiday falls during assignment → traveler must work it
- If 2 major holidays fall → traveler must work both
- If 3 major holidays fall → traveler must work 2
Major Holidays Include:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving/Black Friday
- Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
- New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day
Compliance & Submission Notes
- Full compliance required to start on time
- Non-compliance will result in a 2-week start date pushback due to bi-weekly orientation
- Pre-Screen Required:
- Candidates will be reviewed by clinical for fit
- If approved and within guidelines, profile will be forwarded to the hiring manager for final decision
- Locals Accepted: Yes (same rate)
- Orientation:
- Non-billable orientation hours vary based on contract length
- Example:
- 8 hours for 8-week assignment
- 19 hours for 19-week assignment
