🏥 Job Summary – Neuro Cardiac MS/Tele RN (Nights)

• Unit: Neuro Cardiac MS/Tele
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 4/6
• Interview: Clinical Interview required
• ❌ No local candidates (within 40 miles)

⏰ Weekly Hours Breakdown

✔ Standard Contract

• 36 hours/week (Guaranteed)
• Shift: 3 × 12-hour nights
• Timing: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

👉 Example:

• Mon / Tue / Fri = 36 hrs total

✔ Optional 48-Hour Contract

• 48 hours/week (upon request)
• Shift: 4 × 12-hour nights

👉 Example:

• Sun / Mon / Tue / Wed = 48 hrs

💰 Overtime Rule

• For 48-hour contracts → OT after 52 hours/week

📅 Scheduling Requirements

• Weekends: 3 weekends in every 6 weeks
• Holidays: Every other holiday
• Orientation: Bi-weekly (hours NOT guaranteed that week)

🔁 Floating Requirements

• First to float within skillset
• Possible locations:
  • Midtown campus (~8 miles)
  • Henderson campus (~11 miles)
• ⏳ 2-hour notice for cross-campus float
• Mid-shift float possible (rare across campuses)

🧾 Requirements

✔ Must Have

• Active Compact RN License
• AHA BLS + NIHSS
• 2+ years Tele/MS experience
• 1 prior travel assignment
• Trauma Level II experience
• Strong:
  • Neuro assessments
  • Tele/ECG interpretation (must pass test)
  • Drips (insulin, cardiac, heparin)
  • Cardiac cath recovery

✔ Preferred

• Charge nurse experience
• NG/PEG, IV insertion, chest tubes

• 32 beds
• Ratios:
  • Days: 1:4–5 (rarely 6)
  • Nights: 1:6–7
• Patient Types:
  • Stroke (CVA/TIA), cardiac patients
  • Post-cath interventions
  • Complex surgeries & oncology
