Description

Job Overview: Registered Nurse

Location: Dayton, Ohio
Facility: PHP Miami Valley Hospital (Premier Health Partners)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

  • Contract Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week; overtime is paid after 48 hours.
  • Patient Ratios: Targeted ratios are 1:5-6.
  • Experience Required: Must have 1:5 ratio experience in Step Down (SD) or Progressive Care Unit (PCU). ICU experience does not count towards SD/PCU experience.

Requirements

  • Valid RN license in Ohio
  • Minimum of 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

  • Advanced Care Unit: Typical patients include those with heart failure, chest pain, NSTEMI, post-procedure patients, COPD exacerbation, and drug/ETOH overdose and withdrawal.
  • Daily Average Census: 31 patients.
  • Scrubs: Navy Blue.

  • Drug Testing: Negative drug screen required within 12 months prior to documentation due date. All drug screens must include a marijuana panel.

  • Flu Vaccination: Required for the current season or an approved exemption.
