Unit: Sterile Processing
Experience Required: 2 years; will accept first time traveler
Certs Required: BLS, CRCST or CBSPD
Skills Required: Decontamination, assembly, and sterilization experience. Must be comfortable with general, orthopedic, robotic sets and implant sets. Must be comfortable reprocessing CI scopes and robotic instrumentation. Must be comfortable reprocessing GI scopes and reprocessing scopes in STERIS 1E machine. Able to operate independently: Sterilizers (STERIS). Assemble a variety of sets, inspecting, cleaning, sorting, wrapping, ex: Scythe pans or implants. Knowledge in the 100 basic instruments. Know the process of washer, disinfectors, sterilizer functionality during the assembly of sets. Be able to differentiate between sterilizers; Steam/Prevac, Love Temp. Knowledge on soft goods for specific cases. Catheters, Davinci trocars, gauze, bandages, etc.
