Description

Job Title: Surgical Technician

Location: New Orleans, LA 70115
Shift: Day Shift 8 Hour, 630a-3p (WEEKENDS AND NIGHTS CALL REQUIRED)
Duration: 13 weeks


Education Required - High school diploma or equivalent and graduate from an accepted course in surgical technology certification.

Experience Required - 2+ years of experience in a similar medical setting.
Basic analytical experience.

Certifications Required - Certification in Surgical Technology.
Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association.

KSAs
Good organizational skills.
Good time management skills and ability to be self directed.
Ability to demonstrate good judgement.

Job Duties
Performs direct patient care duties, including assisting physicians during procedures.
Assists in the day-to-day operations of the department.
Maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, equipment, training, and credentials.
Adapts to change in a positive constructive manner.
Ensures cleanliness and/disinfection of endoscopes while maintaining quality control measures. Performs other related duties as required.
