📌 Job Overview

Role: Cardiac Renal Stepdown RN (Days)

Contract: 13 Weeks
Start Dates: 4/6 or 4/20
Interview: Clinical Interview Required

⏰ Weekly Hours Breakdown

✅ Standard Contract (36 Hours)

• Shift: 12-hour Days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Days/Week: 3 shifts
• Total Weekly Hours: 36 hrs guaranteed
• Overtime: After 40 hrs/week

✅ Optional High Hours Contract (48 Hours)

• Shift: 12-hour Days
• Days/Week: 4 shifts
• Total Weekly Hours: 48 hrs guaranteed
• Overtime: After 52 hrs/week

⚠️ Important Notes on Hours

• Orientation week hours NOT guaranteed
• Guaranteed hours apply weekly (except holidays if unit is closed)
• 3 call-ins = possible termination
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule

🏥 Unit & Schedule Details

• Unit: 41-bed Cardiac/Telemetry Stepdown
• Ratios:
  • Days: 1:4–5
  • Nights: 1:5–7
• Weekend Requirement:
  • 3 weekends in every 6 weeks
• Holiday: Every other holiday

🔄 Floating Requirements

• First to float within skillset
• Possible locations:
  • Deaconess Newburgh (8 miles)
  • Deaconess Henderson (11 miles)
• 2-hour notice for cross-campus float

🧾 Key Requirements

• 2+ years Cardiac/Telemetry experience
• 1 prior travel assignment
• Trauma Level II experience
• Active Compact RN License
• Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS

💉 Patient Population / Skills

• High-acuity Cardiac/Tele patients
• Common cases: Afib, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, Dialysis
• Required skills:
  • Tele/12-lead EKG (test required)
  • Drip titration (Heparin, Amio, etc.)
  • Chest tubes, drains, IVs
