📌 Job Summary (RN – Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit)
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Unit: Cardiovascular Stepdown (CVSU) – 32-bed progressive care unit
- Specialty Focus:
- Cardiothoracic surgery
- Interventional cardiology
- Patient Types:
- LVAD patients
- Valve replacements
- Post-STEMI
- Pectus excavatum cases
🩺 Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Monitor and manage cardiac arrhythmias
- Administer & titrate IV medications
- Assist with cardioversion & conscious sedation
- Perform specialized procedures (chest tube removal, arterial line removal, pacing, etc.)
- Follow:
- ANA Code of Ethics
- Ohio Nurse Practice Act
- AACN Progressive Care Guidelines
⏰ Weekly Hours Breakdown
- Shift Type: Nights
- Contract Duration: 8 weeks
- Shift Length: Typically 12-hour shifts
