SHIFT - 7AM - 3:30PM (5 Days - 8 Hours)
Weekend Requirement: On call only

On Call Requirement: 8-10 shifts including weekends and holidays. On call starts at 3:30PM until 7:00AM the next morning
 

Education/Skills

1. Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology, an associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field, or an acceptable equivalent required
2. Bachelor's degree preferred

Floating Requirement / Locations: None

Nurse / Patient Ratio: 8 cases on average per day

Experience, REQUIRED Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

1. 0-1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred
2. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required from AHA
3. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required from AHA
4. State Licensure required based on modality
5. Louisiana: LRT (R) or (F) by LSRTB
6. Radiography (R) by ARRT

One of the following certifications is preferred:

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) by CCI
• Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) by CCI
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI
• Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) by ARRT
• Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) by ARRT
• Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) by ARRT
• Abdomen (AB) RDMS by ARDMS
• Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) RDMS by ARDMS
• Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS

Types of patients/cases in the unit: We are a smaller lab with 3 cath labs. We do a variety of cases: diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, structural heart procedures, TAVR and Watchman. We also do electrophysiology, peripheral angiograms, and interventions. We do not do neurology.

Temp to perm is a possibility as long as we have an open perm position.
