Contract Registered Nurse (RN) – Psychiatric (Pediatric/Adolescent)

Hampstead Hospital, Hampstead, NH

Assignment Details

Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for extension
Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, Monday (36 hours/week)
Shift Length: 12 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
On-Call: Not required

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract opportunity at Hampstead Hospital, a department of DHMC. This role focuses on providing specialized care to pediatric and adolescent patients in a behavioral health setting. Ideal candidates are experienced in psychiatric nursing, confident in clinical procedures, and passionate about working with younger populations.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality psychiatric nursing care to pediatric and adolescent patients
Administer medications and monitor patient responses
Perform phlebotomy procedures, including blood draws
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Support a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment for patients
Follow established clinical protocols and uphold organizational standards

Required Qualifications

Active New Hampshire RN License or Compact RN License
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Certification
Previous pediatric psychiatric experience (required)
Experience and willingness to perform phlebotomy on pediatric/adolescent patients
