Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) responsible for providing patient care using nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) in accordance with South Carolina Nurse Practice Act. Requires both scrub and circulator responsibilities and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments (physical, psychological, social, spiritual)
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor patient progress and update care plans accordingly
• Assist in surgical procedures (scrub and circulate)
• Educate patients and families on treatment and recovery
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team
• Advocate for patient needs and ensure ethical care
• Maintain patient safety and comply with regulatory standards
• Document patient care accurately
• Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage as required

Requirements:

Experience:
• Must have Operating Room (OR) experience
• Must be able to scrub and circulate
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Licenses/Certifications:
• Active RN License (South Carolina or Compact State)
• BLS (AHA) – Required

Education:
• Graduate of accredited nursing program
• BSN preferred (or must complete within 5 years)
