Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Tele (Telemetry Unit) at Riverside Medical Center providing acute care to patients with cardiac and medical conditions. Responsible for monitoring telemetry patients, delivering nursing care, and managing patient assignments in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care for Med Tele patients (cardiac and medical cases)
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Manage patient load (1:5–6 ratio)
• Handle post-cath recovery patients (radial & femoral)
• Administer medications and drips (non-titrated)
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team
• Document in EPIC system
• Float to other medical/step-down units as needed
• Work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules

Requirements:

Experience:
• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• Med Tele / Telemetry experience required
• Experience with cardiac patients (CHF, stroke, chest pain, COPD, etc.)
• Experience with cath lab recovery (radial & femoral) preferred
• EPIC experience – Required
• Travel experience – Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:
• Active Illinois RN License (in hand)
• BLS Certification

Education:
• BSN not required
