Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including PET scans, in a clinical or hospital setting. The ideal candidate will ensure safe handling of radioactive materials while delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform PET scans and nuclear medicine imaging procedures
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely
- Operate imaging equipment, including GE systems
- Start and maintain IV access for imaging procedures
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
- Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Monitor patients during procedures and ensure safety and comfort
- Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
Requirements:
- California CDPH Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (Required)
- ARRT (N) OR NMTCB Certification (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PET scans (Preferred)
- Experience in hospital and outpatient settings
- Familiarity with GE imaging equipment
- ARRT (N) certification preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures
- Expertise in radiation safety and compliance
- Ability to start IVs and monitor patients effectively
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
