Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including PET scans, in a clinical or hospital setting. The ideal candidate will ensure safe handling of radioactive materials while delivering high-quality patient care.

Work Settings:

• Adult (Preferred)
• Clinic (Preferred)
• Hospital (Preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform PET scans and nuclear medicine imaging procedures
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely
• Operate imaging equipment, including GE systems
• Start and maintain IV access for imaging procedures
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Monitor patients during procedures and ensure safety and comfort
• Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records

Requirements:

• California CDPH Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (Required)
• ARRT (N) OR NMTCB Certification (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with PET scans (Preferred)
• Experience in hospital and outpatient settings
• Familiarity with GE imaging equipment
• ARRT (N) certification preferred

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures
• Expertise in radiation safety and compliance
• Ability to start IVs and monitor patients effectively
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
