Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate Child Life Specialist (CCLS) to support pediatric patients and their families by addressing psychosocial needs. This role focuses on helping children (neonates through adolescents) cope with hospitalization, illness, and medical procedures through age-appropriate interventions and therapeutic support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate psychosocial care plans for pediatric patients
• Provide emotional and developmental support to patients and families
• Facilitate therapeutic and recreational activities to support coping and development
• Prepare children and families for medical procedures and hospital experiences
• Advocate for patient and family needs within the healthcare team
• Apply age-appropriate growth and development principles
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
• Support both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting (Required)
• Strong background in child development and psychosocial support
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Child Life
  • Child Development
  • Psychology
  • Education
  • Or related healthcare field (Required)

Certifications & Licensure:

• Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) (Required)
