Description
LeaderStat is currently seeking an interim Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who is willing to commit to a 90-day contract, with the option to extend, if preferred.
When you join the LeaderStat team, you’ll be connected with a dedicated specialist before and during your assignment. They will work with you to coordinate onboarding and provide support throughout your entire assignment.
Job Duties
- Taking and monitoring vital signs
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Communicating changes in resident behavior to nurses, physicians, and family members
- Administering medications
- Overseeing Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
- Providing companionship and comfort to all residents
- Preparing residents for transfer or discharge
Qualifications
- At least one year of clinical experience in a long-term care setting
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
- Possess empathy and passion for serving others
- Prior dementia training preferred
- Current license in Indiana or in an eligible Nurse Compact State
- Up-to-date certifications/compliance
- Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Two-step TB test
- Physical exam within the last 12 months
