Description

Travel Labor and Delivery Nurse- North Dakota

American Consultants is looking for three labor and delivery nurses for contracts outside Williston, ND. Start date are as follows.

May 16th- Day Shift Contract

June 6th- Night Shift Contract

Just 13th- Night Shift Contract

Pay Package:

Taxable: $85/hour

Tax Free: $1246/week

Total $4306/ week

Job Summary:

A Labor and Delivery Nurse provides specialized care to women during labor, childbirth, and the immediate postpartum period. They support patients physically and emotionally, monitor fetal and maternal health, and collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure safe deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor the health and vital signs of mothers and babies during labor and delivery
Assess labor progress and report complications to physicians or midwives
Administer medications, IVs, and epidurals as prescribed
Assist with vaginal births, cesarean sections, and other procedures
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
Operate and interpret fetal monitoring equipment
Respond quickly to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions when needed
Educate new mothers on postpartum care and newborn care
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and other staff

Required Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (often required)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Experience in obstetrics, labor & delivery, or maternal-child health preferred
