Description

Unit Specifics:

· Number of Beds : 240 – generally we run 170-200 for a census. We are a level II trauma Center – the pharmacy is opened 24 hours daily

· Patient Ratios : Not applicable

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) :

· Type of equipment : IV compounding – Laminar Flow Hood; Glove Box; Meditech Expanse; Pyxis

· Documentation system: Meditech Expanse’ IV compounding – 360 Software

· Scheduling requirements: 8-10 hour shifts ( dayshift: 7-3:30PM for distribution; IV tech: 6:ooAM-2:30PM; Swing technician (12N-8:30PM); evening technician 2-10:30PM; Overnight technician: 2100- 0730

· Floating policy: No floating – only in pharmacy

· Patient Experience requirements: minimal to none
