Description

Patient Age Range: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics,
Special Procedures/Unit Details: The Main PACU is a 28-bay unit providing 24/7 specialized peri-anesthesia care to patients across the lifespan and spectrum of acuity, 365 days a year. Vigilant pre and post-operative care is provided to inpatients and outpatients undergoing scheduled or emergency surgery by more than 20 surgical and procedural services. This team’s versatility serves patients treated by a broad array of surgical and medical specialties, providing a variety of clinical experiences for the life-long learner. Nurses must be competent in titration of vasopressors, airway management, care of ventilated patients, blood product administration and fluid resuscitation.
Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Holidays: required as they fall, as scheduled
Weekends: 3 weekend shifts/4 week period
Floating: required within the specialty, other units and sister SRH facilities within scope
On-call: 7a-7:30p; 7p-7:30a; 1-2 twelve hour call shifts/6 week schedule required

License/certs: MD STATE LIC, ACLS, BLS
