Required Certifications
ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS Certification, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring - NOT via AWHONN, NIHSS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Must be proficient in fetal monitoring and the actions taken for fetal distress.
- Must be able to care for patients with pre-eclampsia
- Clinical background in high risk patients. Since there is NOT an in-house OB, so the nurses need to be very proficient with their assessment skills and be able to handle OB emergencies until the provider arrives.
