Position Overview
We are actively hiring a Lab Medical Technologist (MT) for a contract opportunity with Claremore Indian Hospital under the Cherokee Nation region. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced laboratory professionals with strong clinical testing expertise and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting.
The selected candidate will perform routine and complex laboratory testing, ensure quality control compliance, and support accurate diagnostic reporting to assist physicians in patient care.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform clinical laboratory testing in areas such as:
- Hematology
- Chemistry
- Microbiology
- Blood Bank
- Urinalysis
- Serology
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and analyzers
- Ensure proper specimen collection, labeling, processing, and storage
- Review and validate test results for accuracy and completeness
- Follow all CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and hospital laboratory standards
- Maintain quality assurance and quality control documentation
- Assist with calibration and preventive maintenance of lab equipment
- Communicate critical lab values promptly to physicians and nursing staff
- Maintain accurate records in the laboratory information system (LIS)
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
- Active MT/MLS/ASCP certification preferred
- Minimum 1โ2 years of recent hospital laboratory experience
- Strong experience with hospital lab workflows and instrumentation
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and regulatory compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in acute care hospital laboratory settings
- Experience working with Cerner, EPIC Beaker, or other LIS systems
- Experience in government, tribal, VA, or IHS facilities is a plus
