Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job in Greensboro, North Carolina

Job Details

  • Discipline: Registered Nurse
  • Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend, holidays as needed
  • Float: Required to float across multiple facilities as needed
  • Patient Population: Primarily Medical-Surgical (MS) with Telemetry capability
  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty (first-time travelers are accepted)
  • Preferred Experience: Previous Charge RN experience preferred

Job Description

  • Care for patients with a variety of conditions including:
    • Observation patients
    • Respiratory conditions
    • General Medical Surgical diagnoses
    • Palliative, End of Life, Hospice care
    • Psychiatric Observation
    • Diabetes management (including new diabetics and those with complications)
    • Surgical patients and surgical observation
  • Use of EPIC electronic health record system
  • Pass/fail EKG exam required during onboarding

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Medication Administration Badge (MAB)
