Medical Technologist / MLS Travel Contract - $2,587 weekly gross

GHR Healthcare is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist for a great day shift contract opportunity. • Key Responsibilities
  Perform and document laboratory testing with a high level of accuracy and quality. Collect and process venous, capillary, and other patient specimens as needed. Prepare reagents, standards, and controls, and ensure equipment is properly calibrated for testing. Perform troubleshooting and scheduled preventive maintenance on laboratory instruments. Accurately record and report test results, including timely communication of critical values to providers. Participate in proficiency testing, quality assurance projects, and CLIA compliance activities. Assist with procedure manual maintenance, inventory, supply restocking, and keeping the lab clean, organized, and inspection ready. Support training and orientation of new personnel, students, and nontechnical staff as needed.

• Requirements
  Bachelor’s degree or higher in Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, Microbiology, or Chemistry from an accredited institution, plus completion of an approved Medical Technology internship program.
  ASCP certification required
  HEW certification accepted
  Recent Core Lab experience preferred
  Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills required
  Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
  Computer skills preferred
