Description

The Registered Nurse Patient Navigator uses their perioperative-specific clinical experience and knowledge to navigate surgery patients through the perioperative diagnostic and treatment process. The Patient Navigator also performs pre-anesthesia testing (PAT) for surgery patients. The Patient Navigator establishes a positive and respectful relationship with patients and their families, and plays an essential role in facilitating a positive experience and outcome. **This is an office position, and does not provide bed-side care.**

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)

• Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date

• Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

* At least 3 years of inpatient or outpatient orthopedic nursing experience required and/or medical/surgical experience.

Housing: Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing. It’s extremely expensive, especially in the winter. Please consider housing options in the surrounding towns: Basalt, Carbondale, & Glenwood Springs. $3,500/month is common for a 1BR apartment in Basalt. Travelers looking for a housing budget less than this should probably not be submitted.
