Description
Job Title: Echocardiographic Technician
Job Specific Information:
Location/locations: St Joseph, Niles, and Waterliet Campus
Shift: 07:30 - 1600 (Shift start times vary from 0700-0800 and rotates between teammebers)
Shift length: 8 hours
Weekend rotation: Weekends every 4th
On Call: Variable
Required certifications: RCIS or CCI
Scrub Color: Provided
Job Description:
Job Summary: Performs a variety of cardiac testing including, stress, transesophageal, transthoracic, dobutamine stress echocardiograms and others as indicated (ICE, 3D, strain, specialty and fetal echocardiograms); calculates acquired data and prepares study for medical staff interpretation.
Education: Associate's Degree – from an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent
Experience:
- skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through schooling training and experience related to echo including in two-dimensional, doppler, color doppler, transesophageal echocardiology (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echo and understanding of complex congenital heart disease and surgical repairs.
- 3 years of relevant experience - in two-dimensional, doppler, color doppler, transesophageal echocardiology (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echos and understanding of complex congenital heart disease and surgical repairs.
