Description

BLS Certification •2 years of experience – May consider 1 yr exp but MUST have Level I or Level II trauma exp Vascular Interventional VIR Specific: The VIR Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Radiologist for minimally invasive image-guided vascular procedures in roles that include scrubbing monitoring and circulating. The technologist must have knowledge of the various imaging equipment in use including fluoroscopy computed tomography CT and ultrasound. The most common procedures are abdominal aortograms with runoff fistulagrams carotid angios EVARs. Must be able to operate floro and c-arm. The department has an average of 20 patients per day surgical
