Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff: Speech-Language Pathologist - Adulkt Home Health in San Diego, CA!
Location: San Diego North Inland
$65-$80 Per Hour
PediaStaff is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for an adult home health opportunity in the San Diego North Inland area. This role offers the chance to work independently while making a meaningful impact in patients’ lives by helping them improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function in the home setting.
Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist will evaluate, plan, and provide speech therapy services to adult patients in their homes in accordance with physician orders and the established Plan of Care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations
- Assess the home environment and recommend adaptive equipment as needed
- Develop and update individualized Plans of Care in collaboration with the physician and care team
- Provide skilled speech therapy interventions using evidence-based techniques
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
- Document visits accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Communicate patient status to physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and home programs
- Participate in case conferences, in-services, and team meetings
- Follow infection control and HIPAA privacy standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of practice
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and ability to travel to patient homes
- Ability to work independently and manage schedule effectively
- Experience working with adult and geriatric populations
- Minimum of one year of recent home health or hospice experience within the last three years
