Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU
Location: Lubbock, TX
Duration: 16 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (3x12s) – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Start Date: 04/20/2026
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity, fast-paced critical care team at a leading acute care facility. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced ICU travelers and strong first-time travelers looking to expand their clinical experience in a supportive environment.
Facility Details
- Type: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital
- Bed Size: 379 Beds
- Trauma Level: Level II Trauma Center
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting with a focus on critically ill patients
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing and responding to changes promptly
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced life support interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR
- Float between units as needed based on patient care requirements
Patient Ratios
- ICU Ratios: 1:2 – 1:3
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
- BLS certification (AHA)
- ACLS certification (preferred/required depending on unit)
- Neuro ICU experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Willingness to float between units
