Description

Cytotechnologist (CT) – Travel or Local

Contract: 13 weeks (extension likely)
Start: ASAP
Schedule: Days | M–F | No weekends
Hours: 40 hrs/week
Interview: Phone screen

Requirements

2+ yrs cytology experience
Bachelor’s degree (science-related)
Completed accredited cytology training program
CT (ASCP) required
Strong microscopy, slide prep, and screening skills

Key Responsibilities

Process and screen cytology specimens
Identify abnormal findings requiring pathologist review
Prepare and present findings clearly to pathologist
Perform QC and correlate cyto vs histology results
Assist with histology tasks as needed
Support FNA slide prep during procedures (CT, US, IR)

Work Environment

Hospital cytology lab
Exposure to blood, body fluids, hazardous materials
Frequent standing/sitting; manual dexterity and visual acuity required
