Job Overview

We are actively seeking experienced Gero-Psych Registered Nurses (RN) to join a specialized behavioral health unit caring for geriatric patients (60+). This unit focuses on patients with dementia, depression, and suicidal ideation in a safe, structured environment.

Unit Details

• 16 private rooms
• Patient Ratio: 1:6–7
• Typical Staffing: 3 RNs + 2 Techs
• Patient Population: Geriatric (60+)
• Conditions: Dementia, depression, suicidal ideation
• Safety: Centrak badges (panic alert system), on-site protective services

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• 2+ years of experience (required)
• Recent Epic EMR experience (within 1 year)
• BLS certification (required)
• CPI Blue Card (Crisis Prevention Institute) required at submission
• Graduate from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Must be comfortable with:
  • IV therapy & blood draws
  • Floating within scope (including Med/Surg support)

 Important Notes

• Interview Required (availability must be provided at submission)
• RTO Policy:
  • Max 7 days allowed
  • No RTO accepted during first 2 weeks
• No block scheduling
• Floating required
