Registered Dietitian (Travel) – Day Shift

Location: Tehachapi & Bakersfield, California

Assignment Details

Start Date: April 20, 2026
End Date: July 19, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday – Tehachapi Valley
- Tuesday, Thursday – Bakersfield
Hours: 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts, 5 days/week)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional care to patients and residents with specialized dietary needs. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality clinical care, perform nutritional assessments, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct patient nutritional assessments and reassessments
Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
Provide patient and family education on dietary needs
Collaborate with healthcare teams for coordinated care
Document all interventions in accordance with policies and standards
Identify patients at nutritional risk and provide appropriate care

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition (or equivalent) – Required
Master’s degree – Required (if eligibility for exam began on or after Jan 1, 2024)
Completion of a dietetic internship (or equivalent) – Required

Experience:

Clinical Dietitian experience – Preferred

Certifications:

Registered Dietitian (RD) – Required within 6 months of residency completion
BLS certification (AHA or ARC) – Required
