PAY:
Traveler Pay: $36.5/hr on W2
Housing Stipend: $700 weekly
Meals: $546 weekly
Weekly Gross: $2560 weekly for 36 hours
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position - RN-Labor and Delivery
Location - 1401 East State Street, Rockford, IL 61104
JOB DETAILS:
Full Time - 13 weeks contract
Night Shift - 7 pm to 7:30 am // 36 hours
Weekend REQ: Yes - every other weekend and holiday
Work Location - On Location
Ability to commute/relocate: Rockford, IL 61104: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide comprehensive care to antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum patients.
Perform maternal and fetal assessments, including monitoring vital signs and continuous fetal heart rate monitoring (EFM).
Assist with and manage labor progression, including cervical checks, contraction monitoring, and pain assessment.
Administer medications, IV therapy, oxytocin (Pitocin), and epidural support per physician orders.
Assist in vaginal and cesarean deliveries, ensuring patient safety and sterile technique.
Respond to obstetric emergencies such as fetal distress, hemorrhage, preeclampsia, and shoulder dystocia.
Provide newborn care immediately after delivery, including APGAR scoring and stabilization.
Educate patients and families on labor process, breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
Collaborate with OB/GYNs, midwives, anesthesiologists, and NICU teams for coordinated care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards.
REQUIREMENT:
At least 2 years of experience within the specialty - Required
Experience in a mid-large hospital - Required
