Position: RN Tele

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Patient Population:

• Adults to Geriatrics

Clinical Experience / Skills:

• Overflow IMCU / Med Surg
• Arrhythmia management and basic cardiac monitoring
• Cardioversion, CHF, chest pain
• Renal and pulmonary conditions (COPD, pulmonary edema)
• PE, DVT, stable cardiac arrhythmias (A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia)
• Post cardiac cath, TR Bands
• DKA
• Surgical cases (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, chest tubes, biliary drains)
• Occasional vascular, ortho, or CVA overflow patients

Unit Details:

• Ratio: 1:5–6
• Beds: 32

Systems Used:

• Epic (preferred)
• Pyxis
• SBAR

Additional Information:

• Floating: Required within facility/scope of practice
• Weekends: Typically every other weekend (travelers fill remaining gaps)
• Call: Rare, 2-hour response time (travelers typically do not manage Precedex)
