Job Title: Registered Nurse- Outpatient High Risk OB
Location: New York, NY 10037
Shift: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Shift Length: 5*8 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Duration: 13 weeks

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in OB/GYN with a minimum of two years of acute care experience to join our team in an outpatient High-Risk OB Clinic. The RN will be responsible for performing fetal monitoring and supporting comprehensive care for high-risk obstetric patients. This role also includes providing preceptorship and guidance to staff members undergoing training within the department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively in a specialized outpatient setting.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Perform fetal monitoring and assess maternal and fetal health in a high-risk OB clinic
Provide comprehensive nursing care to OB/GYN patients in an outpatient setting
Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and patient management
Educate patients on prenatal care, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions
Precept and support training of new staff within the department

Skills:

Strong fetal monitoring and maternal assessment skills
Knowledge of high-risk obstetrics and OB/GYN care
Excellent patient education and communication abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment
Precepting and mentoring skills for training staff
Critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
Team collaboration with physicians and healthcare staff
Proficiency in documentation and EMR systems

Documents Required:

Valid NY State RN license
NRP
ACLS Certified through AHA
BLS Certified through AHA
