Position Overview

We are seeking a Physical Therapist with primary Acute Inpatient experience to provide high-quality rehabilitative care for adult patients. This role focuses primarily on acute rehabilitation, with secondary coverage in ICF/SNF rehab settings.

The Physical Therapist will evaluate and re-evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by attending physicians and consulting specialists.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients
Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans
Provide therapeutic interventions in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting
Deliver consulting physical therapy services as needed
Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Be available to work variable shifts, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs

Required Experience

Minimum 6 months of experience working with adults in at least one of the following settings:
- Acute Care
- Rehabilitation Hospital
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

Licensure & Certifications

Active Hawaii Physical Therapist License
- Candidates without an active license must apply upon offer acceptance and must have the license by assignment start
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Schedule

Variable schedules, including:
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday–Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Sunday–Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Additional Requirements

Holiday coverage required
Must be able to arrive prior to assignment start for pre-employment health clearance appointments
