2+ years of RN Acute care experience
BLS-AHA
ACLS-AHA
NY State RN license required
Start Date - 4/20/2026
Contract period - 2years
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and make independent clinical decisions regarding patient care and treatment priorities.
Administer medications accurately and safely, including proper Medication Administration Record (MAR) setup and turnover.
Initiate and manage IV lines, ensuring proper technique and patient monitoring.
Perform clinical procedures, including:
- Dressing changes and wound care
- Electrocardiograms (EKG)
- Use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Administration of Narcan in emergency situations
Assist healthcare providers with suturing and minor surgical procedures.
Accurately carry out and document physician orders, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols.
Respond to medical emergencies with appropriate interventions and life-saving measures.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient documentation with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and ethical conduct at all times.
Build effective working relationships while maintaining a fair, firm, and consistent approach with incarcerated individuals.
Remain adaptable and open to continuous learning in a dynamic correctional healthcare environment.
