Description

Position: Histotechnician

🕒 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
📍 Work Locations: FCCC – Huntingdon Pike & Doylestown Mohs Lab

Job Responsibilities

Perform all technical and clerical functions in the histology section following established procedures
Embed tissue specimens and perform microtomy
Prepare and stain slides using Hematoxylin & Eosin (H&E)
Perform frozen section preparation
Process and perform special stains for tissue sections

Education

Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Histology, Science, or related field – Required
OR
Graduate of an Accredited Histology Certificate Program – Required

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Histotechnician – Required
MOHS (Micrographic Surgery) experience – Required

Certifications

ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification – Preferred
