Registered Pharmacist  

Local or Travel position 
Location: IHS Belcourt. ND 

Pay Rate: $60 per hour plus $1,246 weekly travel stipends (if applicable) 
Schedule: Monday – Friday between 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM (may include 4x10-hour shifts, as scheduled by Pharmacy Director) 

Contract Length: 5 months with option to extend 

Job Description: 

The Registered Pharmacist will support pharmacy operations in a fast-paced IHS facility, assisting with the preparation, verification, and dispensing of approximately 1,000–1,200 prescriptions per day. This role requires strong clinical judgment, accuracy, and excellent patient communication skills. 
Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program 
• Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in any U.S. state or territory 
• Current BLS certification 
• Minimum working knowledge of pharmacy systems (EHR, RPMS, ScriptPro preferred) 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications 
• Strong communication and customer service skills 

Responsibilities: 

• Verify accuracy of prescriptions prior to dispensing 
• Counsel patients on safe and effective medication use 
• Respond to patient inquiries in person and via phone 
• Complete required documentation in accordance with policies 
• Maintain accurate records for controlled substances 
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, TJC, and regulatory standards 
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain workflow efficiency 
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and meetings 
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards 
• Communicate effectively with leadership regarding any issues or concerns 
• Provide culturally sensitive, patient-centered care in a high-volume setting
