Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Wound Care to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in medical-surgical nursing, wound management, and ostomy care, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, and implement care for patients with acute and chronic wounds
Perform wound treatments, dressing changes, and ostomy care (including colostomy management)
Monitor wound healing progress and document patient outcomes
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
Educate patients and families on wound care and prevention strategies
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
Hands-on experience in wound care and colostomy/ostomy management
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited program
Active New York State RN License (verified through NYSED)
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Required Certifications (One of the Following)

Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) – WOCNCB
Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) – WOCNCB
Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) – WOCNCB
Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) – ABWM
Wound Care Certified (WCC) – NAWCO

Preferred Qualifications

Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Experience working in hospital or acute care settings
