Description

Shift & Schedule

3x12s (36 hours/week)
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend rotation: every other weekend (or as needed)
Holiday requirement: up to 75% of holidays

Job Details

Pediatric CVICU RN position
Level I Pediatric Trauma facility
20-bed unit (split into two 10-bed sides)
High-acuity patient population (ages 0–18)
Traveler must reside 50+ miles from facility

Patient Population

Congenital heart conditions (pre/post-op, transplant patients)
Post-cath lab, ECMO, Impella, VADs, dialysis, Aquadex
RN ratios based on acuity: 1:1, 1:2, or 2:1

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience (high-acuity setting)
BLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required
Experience with:
- Fresh open heart post-op patients
- ECMO, Impella, Aquadex (renal replacement therapy)
- Transplant patients
EPIC experience required
Must be willing/able to float to PICU (and possibly NICU/Gen Peds as needed)

IV Pumps: Alaris
Med Dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Phillips

Additional Details

Floating required (PICU, NICU, Gen Peds as needed)
Orientation: NEO + 2 days on unit
Call requirements as needed
Scrub color: Navy
